Entrance to the Metzger Mine(self guided tour stop # 11) What you are looking at is the mine entrance in the background and a small crawl through opening in the foreground. The crawl through is about 2 feet high, but the tunnel in the background is much larger. Not sure why that is. Not sure how far the tunnel goes into the hill, we didn't have a flashlight to help us explore.07/09/04 at 17:29matt: wow! we explored this mine last wknd--very scarey...
